Player Code of Conduct 

We, the Willow Glen Little League (WGLL), have written this Player Code of Conduct for the important message it holds about the proper behavior of players in WGLL. All players in level A - Machine Pitch and above should read, understand, and sign this Code of Conduct before the start of the season. 

The WGLL Player Code of Conduct is enforced by WGLL Board's Code of Conduct Committee. When the behavior of any player, at any time, whether on or off the field, is considered to have violated this WGLL Code of Conduct, that player may be disciplined or have their WGLL membership suspended or terminated according to Article III Section 4 of the WGLL Constitution. 

Remember that during games, umpires can disqualify any player for objecting to decisions (like questioning balls and strikes) or for unsportsmanlike conduct or language, and can eject that player from the playing field, according to Little League Rule 9.01(d). 

WGLL believes in the power of youth baseball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and a stronger Willow Glen community. Keeping the spirit of that mission statement in mind, I agree that: 

1. I will demonstrate good sportsmanship, and encourage the same from my fellow players. 

2. I will be a team player and applaud the efforts of my teammates, regardless of the outcome. 

3. I will arrive on time for every practice and game that I can, and notify my coaches (or ask my parent to) if I cannot. 

4. I will congratulate the other team and thank the umpire after each game. 

5. I will never use violence, profanity, unfriendly language, or insults to others. 

6. I will obey the rules of the game. 

7. I will never challenge or question the umpire's calls. I will remember that questioning balls and strikes is forbidden. 

8. I will never criticize my teammates. 

9. I will remember that when I am in my WGLL uniform, I represent the league, and should be on my best behavior.
